Glade Refillable Expressions Fragrance reviewed by "Me"

As a Bzz Agent i get all kinds of  products to use than review. You ask what is a "Bzz Agent" check out this link https://www.bzzagent.com/ to find out how easy it is to get free products delivered to your home for you to review.
Okay so back to my review of glades newest product:

I LOVE IT.....

yup it's now my new favorite way to freshen up the air.  They have 4 scents, "Fuji Apple & Cardamom Spice" "Lavender & Juniper Berry ,"Cotton & Italian Mandarin" and (my personal favorite)"Pineapple & Mangosteen"....

All the scents are wonderful, not heavy and overbearing, leaves the air with a lite hint of scent and long lasting. The best part is it's refillable...An AWESOME idea in my opinion.

They also have Glade Expressions oil diffuser kits: I've only tried the "Pineapple & Mangosteen" I used it in my kitchen instead of burning candles and i was very pleased. Again not harsh and overbearing, just a lite long lasting scent.

Oh So Moist Strawberry Cake Recipe

Every once in a while i cheat and use a box mix. There are some really good box mixes out there lately so i've been giving them a try...

This one I found to be VERY moist and Delicious..
I followed the directions on the box and poured it into a foil baking pan.
Than before baking i spread coconut on the top DO NOT MIX IT INTO THE CAKE BATTER. (if you don't like coconut you can delete the next steps) I found that the coconut helps keep the moisture in the cake.
Next take a spatula and lightly push the coconut down just a little bit (enough to let it bake into the top of the cake)

I baked it for about 30 minutes

The first time i made it i bought the can strawberry frosting that went with the box mix. But i found it to be way to sweet, my family scrapped it off... So this time i sprinkled confectionery sugar on top right after the cake came out of the oven (that way the sugar glazed a little)

Than i added fun colored sprinkles

 YUMMY..YUMMY..YUMMY.....

I'm thinking of laying fresh sliced strawberries on top of the coconut before baking the next time...I'll wright an update as to how it came out when i do.

UPDATED 4/2/2013:

I made this again and added 1/2 can drained of crushed pineapple before baking. When it was done baking i than frosted it with a mixture of confectionery sugar, a little butter, the rest of the drained crushed pineapple, cup of coconut. and topped it off with walnuts.....

IT WAS SOOOOOOOO YUMMY.

Cheesy Sweet Potato Crisps

I came across this recipe the other day, which looks awesome.

yield: Makes 8 servings
Potato pancakes get a makeover, and so do you! These have lots of vitamin A, which will help keep your skin healthy for the holidays.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound sweet potatoes, peeled
  • 2 1/2 ounces finely grated Parmigiano-Reggiano (about 1 cup)
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary
  • 3/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • Parchment paper

Preparation

Heat oven to 425°F. Finely grate sweet potatoes into a bowl. Squeeze grated sweet potatoes in batches to release as much moisture as possible and place in another bowl; fluff with a fork. Stir in cheese, egg whites, rosemary and pepper. Line a large cookie sheet with parchment paper. Spoon 1 rounded tablespoon batter onto cookie sheet and flatten into a thin, 2- to 2 1/2-inch round. Repeat with remaining batter, leaving 1 inch between rounds. Bake until edges and underside are crisp and browned, 13 to 15 minutes. Remove from oven, let cool slightly and remove from parchment. Serve warm with Rosemary-Balsamic Cream .

Tub Scrub

I can't wait to try this out...
Body+Soul, Volume 11 July/August 2006
Here's a nontoxic but effective way to clean your tub: Add one teaspoon of liquid soap and several drops of an antibacterial essential oil (such as tea tree, eucalyptus, rosemary, or peppermint) to one cup of baking soda. Add just enough water to form a paste, and use it with a sponge or brush to scour bathtub surfaces.

Check out the site i found it on.  http://www.marthastewart.com/265635/tub-scrub

spray painted straw baskets

How-To
These are so AWESOME, i can see so much potential in decorating them. I'm thinking maybe gluing vintage jewelry on them or maybe rhinestones or jewels. I would love to hear your ideas...

Spray-Painted Straw Baskets

Martha Stewart Living, June 2012
By Silke Stoddard

It started with a birthday present for my colleague Ayesha Patel: a basket that I spray-painted silver, on a whim, for her to store magazines in. After that, I went a little spray-crazy, making silver baskets at the request of friends and for a crafts fair. As customers carried them away, I realized that even though I had envisioned the baskets functioning as storage, they looked just as good dangling from people's arms as summer accessories.
To make one, start with a basket -- odds are, you already have one that could use a makeover. Working outside to avoid breathing in fumes, quickly and evenly spray the basket with silver paint, and let it dry for a few hours.
Spray-painted silver, these baskets look like boutique finds but were created in minutes. Use them as totes or for storage. (You can also spray paint straw accessories like hats, totes, and slippers.)

here is the web site i got them from http://www.marthastewart.com/901710/spray-painted-straw-baskets

Awesome storage ideas for all your crafts

I came across this site the other day, and was quite impressed. It is filled with tons and tons of craft storage ideas. check it out,

Here are just a few of the ideas:

Dying Buttons

Wow, who would of known.... check out there site http://www.ritdye.com/

Dyed Buttons

Whether you are a crafter or a sewing fashionista, you will enjoy dyeing buttons. It’s fun and easy to do. Most white buttons are made out of nylon or some type of plastic. Rit is one of the few dyes that will color these materials. That means you can transform ordinary buttons into colorful accents that match or coordinate with whatever you are making.
Assorted White Buttons before dyeing

Muffin pan doubles as a button organizer when working on craft projects
Rit Dye colors shown:
  • Top: Fuchsia, Lemon Yellow, Violet
  • Bottom: Sunshine Orange, Evening Blue, Scarlet

Buttons add a colorful accent to flower arrangements!
Rit Dye colors shown:
  • Lemon Yellow, Golden Yellow, Sunshine, Orange, Apple Green

Supplies Needed

  • Rit Liquid or Powder Dye: Any color or mix dye to create a custom color. Colors used in photographs: Sunshine Orange, Evening Blue, Scarlet, Fuchsia, Lemon Yellow, Violet, Apple Green, Golden Yellow
  • White Buttons
  • Measuring Cup
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Disposable Plastic Containers for dyeing buttons
  • Spoon for mixing dyes
  • Rubber Gloves
  • Plastic Table Cover
  • Paper Towels

Instructions

  1. Cover work surface with a plastic table cover.
  2. Decide what colors you like and prepare dye according to the basic recipe below. Liquid dyes are more concentrated than powder dyes so use half as much dye. Always test color with fabric scrap or paper towel before dyeing buttons. If color is too light, add more dye; if it is too dark, add more water.
  3. Basic Recipe: Measure and mix 1 teaspoon liquid dye or 2 teaspoons powder dye with 1 Cup HOT Water. Shake liquid dyes before measuring. Water should be about 140°F. If your tap water is not hot enough, heat some in the microwave or a tea kettle.
  4. Pour dye and water into a plastic container; stir. Make sure container is deep enough.
  5. Immerse buttons in dye solution for 2 to 5 minutes. Stir occasionally and check color frequently. Remove buttons when desired color is achieved. Rinse buttons. Then wash with soap and water, rinse and dry with paper towels.

Nutella VS Jif Chocolate spread

 I'm a HUGE Nutella lover,
I use it all the time and have tons of recipes for uses (that will come in another LONG post LOL).
But I came across Jif version of Nutella the other day so i thought i'd try it.

I'll start with it's not the same, but pretty close. Maybe its because i use Nutella all the time, but in a blindfold test (ok i wasn't really blind folded, i just closed my eyes) I could tell the difference.

1. favor is slightly different, not quite as rich and hazlenutty !!!
2. texture was a bit thinner than Nutella.

I would buy the Jif version again, but only for baking or frosting...

But when it comes to spreading it on my toasted bagel or raisin toast Nutella wins...

I would love to hear your comments
