Just a fun and helpful idea to share:
My son loves to dive in the pool looking for dive toys that we have purchased in the past. I'm forever buying new ones as the old either get lost or broken. So i came up with this idea the other day and it went over big with my son and his friends.
I bought mini bottles of water and added food coloring and to make them heavy i added decorative glass stones.
I'll also did it with out food coloring and used larger bottles
Both worked GREAT....

Saucy onions hotdog or hamburg topping recipes
This recipe is SOOOOO good.. wakes up a plain hotdog, hamburg or sausage.
Slice 4 large onions, saute them in olive oil., till they are soft. Add oregano, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper to taste and two tablespoons of tomato paste and 2 tablespoons of water. Cook for about 10 minutes, till paste looks cooked.
Than throw in your hotdogs and cook them till they are browned. Or if you don't want hotdogs than top your sausage or hamburgs with the saucy onions .
I used hotdogs this time. add some relish and mustard and enjoy....

Easy & Moist Corn Bread Cake Recipe
Hi world,
I'm back with my old time favorite recipe for corn bread cake.. Its SO SIMPLE, yet SO DELICIOUS.
I've experimented with many different toppings, which will change the corn bread cake, to some thing a bit different each time.
First off start with buying the following:
You can use different brand yellow moist cake mixes, but don't use a different corn bread mix.
Now just follow the mixing directions on each package.
I mix the cake mix first than i add the corn bread mix and it's ingredients and mix it all together. Spray baking pam into 9x11 baking
pan. ( I use the foil disposable ones that come with a cover)
before putting it into the oven cover the top of the batter with fresh coconut, than pat it down just a little with a rubber spatula. Bake following the temperature and time directions on the cake mix box. I like using coconut because it tends to make the cake moister. (I like checking to see if its done using the old fashion toothpick test.) Don't over bake as it will dry out.
after it's done, remove and add confectionery to the top while it is still warm. Than sprinkles or sugars.
You will love this corn bread cake, it is so moist and Delicious....
It is so easy to make and easy to transport to family and friends. It fits into so may occasions.
It is great as a breakfast treat, an after dinner dessert or serve it with dinner or on your buffet menu.
You can also add many different toppings to make it unique each time.
I tend to stay with the coconut, and add other things to it too. but you don't have to do it that way.
here is a list of just a few ideas:
1. Frost it with Nutella
2. sliced bananas
3. pineapple slices
4. walnuts
5. white raisins
6. flavored frostings
7. sliced strawberries
8. Blueberries
9. Roasted pecans tossed in brown sugar and cinnamon
I have tried all the above, with the exception of the frosting's i added the item or items to the raw batter top and lightly pushed them down just a tad bit.
My list is just a few, i'm sure you must have many other ideas. Please leave a comment on how your corn bread cake came out and what toppings you used.

Attention Banana Bread Lovers topping recipes
Tired of boring banana bread??
I just wanted to share my newest recipe experiment with you. I've been feeling my banana breads where missing something lately, so i tried a few other banana breads recipes on the internet. Although they all tasted great, i still felt they needed a kick. So here is what i did, and it was a huge success when i served it.
Use any banana bread recipe you like (even works great with a box mix). While your bread is baking take one VERY ripe large banana (when my banana's start to turn black i throw them in the freezer skin and all, than just peel while frozen or put in microwave for a minute to defrost than peel.) mash the banana in a sauce pan, add a few tablespoons of confectionery sugar (more or less depending on how sweet you want it) than add a handful of each of the following white raisins, chopped walnuts, chopped apples and coconut (you can pick just a few or use all that is mentioned depending our your likes and dislikes) heat to small boil, stirring at all times. Now you can use the mixture a few ways (i've tried all three ways and they all worked well.)
1. After bread is baked, remove from oven and cool, than add the topping to the top let set for about 30 minutes than serve.
2. Before bread is baked add topping than bake as usual (this gives more of a toasted topping.)
3. Bake bread, let cool than slice bread in half, spread topping on top of bottom layer (don't use a lot a thin layer works best) and than put top layer back on. Than coat the top with what is left.
hope you enjoy

ppp.sss While at the grocery store the other day i seen this in the produce section next to the bananas. I grabbed a box to try, hey who knows bananas better than Chiquita!!!!!
UPDATE: I baked the Chiquita Banana Bread Mix last night and it was AWESOME... So much easier than baking it from scratch and just as good. I added a extra banana, instead of two i used three.

I made this again and added 1/2 can drained of crushed pineapple before baking. When it was done baking i than frosted it with a mixture of confectionery sugar, a little butter, the rest of the drained crushed pineapple, cup of coconut. and topped it off with walnuts.....
IT WAS SOOOOOOOO YUMMY...
